When I was in high school I listened to a radio station that advised listeners to ensure the first words out of their mouths on the first day of a new month were, “rabbit rabbit.” It was suppose to ensure good luck for the next 28-31 days. I have not listened to this station regularly for probably 20 years, and yet this morning the first thought that occurred to me was (and thus the first words I did utter were), “
rabbit rabbit.”
